The other day we took a trip to the mall. Jo thinks the escalators are fun and Aunt Ali was nice enough to humor her up and down a couple times.

Joee loves her cousin Adi. She wants "baby Ah-DEE" to do everything with her. Including sharing seats.
She can sure get goofy sometimes. She randomly will find an old toy she forgot about and be so lovingly happy to be reunited. She just walked around saying "awwwww!" while hugging and kissing this giraffe stuffed animal.

Grandma gave Jolene her first "Fun Dip" candy. It was too sour for her liking but she thought the coloring of our tongues was funny!

Jolene has come to LOVE swimming (a total 180 from last summer). She kicks and giggles and rolls all around the pool Grandma bought for her backyard.
Okay this story is too funny. Grandma babysat for me while I had a dr's appt one morning. I came home to find Jolene playing on the piano and grandma hiding down the hall watching, Grandma explained Jolene wanted to play in peace. She asked to sit down at the chair, opened the piano on her own, and pointed to the books for grandma to open for her. After Grandma opened to a random page, Jolene would say "Mmm No." so grandma would turn the page. "Hmmm No." Turn another page until finally Jolene said "Otay!" and began playing and singing along.
She's done it a couple times since then. Once for grandpa while he was babysitting, and once for me. I tried to get the singing on camera cause she would throw her head back and yell "LAAA!!!!!" really loud. It is hilarious. We have no idea where she got this from. The only piano playing she's seen is at church and one or two "Piano Man" youtube videos.

Even though this was Jolene's second Easter, it was her first we celebrated. Last year, Jolene and I had flown to California because Leika's dad passed away. We flew home on Easter. She would have been too young to understand much anyway. It made this year all the more fun! She jumped right in on the egg hunt and loved collecting them in her basket.
Jolene loves her cousins. She is constantly hugging them and squealing when she sees them. I call her the hugaholic because sometimes she just doesn't understand when to stop and let go. She loves her baby cousin Adi, which is good news for us because we have a baby coming soon (next month!).
It seriously is so fun to watch the cousins play together. Jolene loves her cousins. She gets so excited when she sees them, she squeals and jumps up and down and runs to them. A few weeks ago, we had a family BBQ in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard. Usually what happen is, we put the girls in the swings and between me, Ema (usually Ema), and Grandma they get pushed to their satisfaction... this time though, Tucker got in on the action! They had so much fun!

Jolene is very much into golf like her daddy. When he comes home from work, she chants "golf golf!" and they go outside and chip and putt together. We got her a plastic set of clubs at Wal-Mart, occasionally I'll find her practicing before daddy gets home. The problem is, once I pull the camera out she just wants to do a face and then see her self on the display. So I had to try and capture it without her knowing. This is the best I could do:
Like I said though, once the camera comes out she just wants to make faces and then see herself. Here are some of her faces:
She's such a crack up lately. She has more personality than we know what to do with. She has all the sass of her mother and the witt of her father... plus both of our rebellions. We have our hands full!
Just about every day we go to Grandma's house to play in the back yard. I'm not one of those moms who can go to a park and socialize with other parents in hopes our kids don't kill each other while we're pretending to be polite to each other. I like the comfort and privacy of a finished backyard (Grandma's) and Jolene likes running with the dogs anyway. The other day we had Ali's baby Addie out with us for a little bit. That little baby loves the swing!
