While Jonathan and I were in Sedona (post coming soon), Jolene stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's. Kimber is in town during break between semesters and captured this funny moment between Jolene and Grandma's dog Lani. She shows her backpack to Lani, and shares her lip gloss.
Jolene loves grandma's dogs. She is always hugging them and wanting them to chase her. One time on the way home from Grandma's, Jolene said "I want dog" i said "You want a DOG?" she said "Otay. Ummm TWO!" I said "How about we just love Grandma's dogs...." lol we are NOT getting a dog.
The other day we took a trip to the mall. Jo thinks the escalators are fun and Aunt Ali was nice enough to humor her up and down a couple times.

Joee loves her cousin Adi. She wants "baby Ah-DEE" to do everything with her. Including sharing seats.
She can sure get goofy sometimes. She randomly will find an old toy she forgot about and be so lovingly happy to be reunited. She just walked around saying "awwwww!" while hugging and kissing this giraffe stuffed animal.

Grandma gave Jolene her first "Fun Dip" candy. It was too sour for her liking but she thought the coloring of our tongues was funny!

Jolene has come to LOVE swimming (a total 180 from last summer). She kicks and giggles and rolls all around the pool Grandma bought for her backyard.
Okay this story is too funny. Grandma babysat for me while I had a dr's appt one morning. I came home to find Jolene playing on the piano and grandma hiding down the hall watching, Grandma explained Jolene wanted to play in peace. She asked to sit down at the chair, opened the piano on her own, and pointed to the books for grandma to open for her. After Grandma opened to a random page, Jolene would say "Mmm No." so grandma would turn the page. "Hmmm No." Turn another page until finally Jolene said "Otay!" and began playing and singing along.
She's done it a couple times since then. Once for grandpa while he was babysitting, and once for me. I tried to get the singing on camera cause she would throw her head back and yell "LAAA!!!!!" really loud. It is hilarious. We have no idea where she got this from. The only piano playing she's seen is at church and one or two "Piano Man" youtube videos.

Jolene received a letter in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Coffey! She was in heaven when she found stickers and a balloon inside a card. Two of her favorite things! She wanted me to blow the balloon up right then and there.

Even though this was Jolene's second Easter, it was her first we celebrated. Last year, Jolene and I had flown to California because Leika's dad passed away. We flew home on Easter. She would have been too young to understand much anyway. It made this year all the more fun! She jumped right in on the egg hunt and loved collecting them in her basket.
Jolene loves her cousins. She is constantly hugging them and squealing when she sees them. I call her the hugaholic because sometimes she just doesn't understand when to stop and let go. She loves her baby cousin Adi, which is good news for us because we have a baby coming soon (next month!).
I decided it was time to get our family pictures taken. Baby #2 is rapidly approaching arrival and we have yet to take a Family Of Three photo. Despite feeling rather large these days, I was all in for a photo shoot with my dad. Here are some pictures from the day:

Jolene was done being a model after about 15 minutes or less, so these are the only poses we have. And that's okay. The less angles to make it obvious I'm pregnant the better :)
Jonathan's work is pretty awesome. He loves it there and they treat their employees really well. On the 24th of March, they had a work picnic for employees and their families. Jolene was in heaven all day. They had inflatable bounce houses, free face painting/glitter tattoos, free balloon animals, a massive BBQ, music, etc. Here are some pictures from the day:

Jolene has had a very crazy couple of months. One week she's healthy, and the next she's got pink eye AND an ear infection. This month, we found out she had double pink eye, double ear infection and a sinus infection. After failed attempts at medicine at home with no sign of improvement, her doctor decided she needed antibiotic shots in the office. We had to take her in Monday, Wednesday and Friday for shots (a 3 round set). The first day, the nurse explained to me that they numb the leg because the antibiotic is so painful upon injection and that she might have the tingly sensation later in the day. Jolene hates shots (what child doesn't?) but was easily comforted with a sucker from the nurse. Day 2 of the shot was even easier. She hardly cried and almost immediately began playing in the exam room.

The last round of antibiotics though, she was miserable! ALL DAY! She held her leg and sobbed "owie owie owie" for hours on end. She fell asleep from exhaustion from screaming in the car on the way home. Nothing I did would comfort her, not even donuts! And that's saying a lot....
Jolene loves to take her books to a quiet nook to read. She usually does her best to hide, and if I find her then she gets mad that I'm interrupting her reading session. I usually just take advantage of this moments and get laundry done uninterrupted. A few places I've found her reading....
